SALT - KAYAKING
​Our kayaking advocate, Richard Hue, introduced the idea of having a kayaking group in October 2024 and it took off with an initial batch of around 70 seniors who are willing to give kayaking a try.

​Kayaking is a low-impact exercise suitable for seniors that can help improve aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility. Just search online to find the many benefits! It is loads of fun too!​

🚩If you are considering joining:
1. Participants should be healthy without any medical conditions (doctor memo might be needed)
2. Max 20-30 participants per session depend on the helpers available
3. The schedule for the session will depend on the availability at the centre (every last Friday 9.30-11.30am of the month)
4. Registration fee $5 per session
5. Venue: Passion WaVe @bedok reservoir park

🚩Important Notes for each kayaking session:
1. Please change into your sports wear and be ready before 9:30 am
2. The centre will provide the buoyancy vest
3. Wear clothing that prioritizes sun protection
4. Bring a water bottle and sunglasses
5. Good to wear sport saddles (it will get wet)
6. After the activity, there are shower facilities available for you to wash and change
7. A shared locker is available for free
